KORANET Call for Participation

16. Dez 2011

Joint Call Partnering Event on Green Technologies in Seoul/South Korea

On 6 and 7 February 2012 a Partnering Event will be organised in Seoul/South Korea to launch the KORANET Joint Call on Green Technologies.

The three main sub-topics of the KORANET Joint Call will be dealing with:

  • Reduction of carbon footprint
  • Technologies for a sustainable development
  • Renewable energies and energy efficiency

The aim of this event is:

  • To officially launch the KORANET Joint Call on Green Technologies (proposal submission from 6 February to 6 April 2012)
  • To present all information, the requirements and steps to participate in the KORANET Joint Call
  • To give researchers from Europe and Korea a chance to present their recent work in the area of Green Technologies to an international audience
  • To initiate cooperation in the area of Green Technologies between European and Korean researchers that have already voiced their interest in participating in the KORANET Joint Call and thus to facilitate the set-up of project consortia

Around 30 speakers from Korea and several European countries will be invited to participate in the Partnering Conference. Overall, more than 100 researchers are invited to participate in the event, most of them from Korea.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The Partnering Event targets researchers who are interested in sharing new project ideas and finding collaboration partners within the field of Green Technologies. The main European target countries are those that participate in the KORANET Joint Call: Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

A selection of researchers will be done upon the Profile Form attached or to be downloaded at www.koranet.eu and sent back before 16 January 2012. Participation in the Partnering Event will be free of charge for the selected researchers from countries participating in the Joint Call and will offer a unique possibility to contribute to EU-Korea scientific cooperation in the field of Green Technologies.

Target group in Austria

In Austria only universities and other research institutions who have received the former so-called "Basisfinanzierung" from the Austrian Mnistry of Science and Research in the past are eligible. Other SMEs and Enterprises/Industry are not allowed to participate in the call. Therefore only researchers from these institutions can be invited to the partnering event.

More information on the partnering event is available from the KORANET Joint Call Secretariat (Ms. Céline Timmermans, celine.timmermans@cnrs-dir.fr) and from the National Contact Point in Austria (Ms. Hanna Scheck, scheck@zsi.at).
