Am 5. Dezember 2006 findet in Bratislava der Central European Science Day statt. Organisatoren sind die Austrian Science and Research Liaison Offices (ASO) in Bratislava, Brno, Budapest und Kosice. Das ASO Brno wird vom ZSI koordiniert.

Zielgruppe sind in erster Linie Forscherinnen und Forscher bzw. Forschungseinrichtungen aus den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften, die sich für folgende Themenbereiche interessieren:
- Demographic aspects (with focus on migration, mobility and minorities),
- Economical aspects (development of the labour market, including aspects of employment and working conditions; SMEs and their roles in the society),
- Political culture and power structures in Central Europe

Tagungssprache ist Englisch.
