Made in Danube - Open Innovation World Café in Nitra

To help build new links and strengthen existing ones between regional initiatives and the DR innovation systems

Bereich: Forschungspolitik & Entwicklung

Datum: 11. April 2019

The development of new products and innovative services in the area of bioeconomy by companies in the Danube Region, especially SMEs, requires the access to scientific and applied research knowledge combined with innovation expertise. The collaboration between research organisations and companies is crucial. To improve the framework conditions for this collaboration process in order to transform ideas into marketable bio-based products and services, it is inevitable to make the local scientific knowledge available at transnational level.

In this context, the ZSI – Centre for Social Innovation (Vienna) in cooperation with the Union of Slovak Clusters (UKS) is organising a workshop “Open Innovation World Café” to help build new links and strengthen existing ones between regional initiatives and the Danube Region innovation systems to create synergies and improve the impact. Generally, strengthening links with civil society should contribute to better acceptance of scientific results and commercial success of innovative ideas and products.

The event will be held in Nitra, on 11th April 2019 in the context of the Made in Danube project funded by the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme.
