Vesterålen regional council is an inter-municipal cooperation body and regional council.

Vesterålen regional council is an inter-municipal cooperation body and regional council for the municipalities of Andøy, Bø, Hadsel, Sortland and Øksnes in Vesterålen and Lødingen in Ofoten. The regional council organizes cooperation within politics, culture, tourism and further education in the municipalities. The council is made up of mayors, deputy mayors and two opposition politicians from each member municipality. The working committee is made up of the mayors. Vesterålen regional council was established in 1981, as a replacement for Vesterålen regional planning council, which had been in operation since 1966.
