Acronym: SEBS

School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo, established in 1952, has the longest tradition and is the largest educational institution in the country. Its main goal is to adopt and apply all current trends in business, economics and education to adapt to this rapidly changing, competitive environment. It is the first high education institution in the region that gained AACSB and EPAS accreditation that confirm quality of the institution. SEBS owns well equipped and modern space located in downtown of Sarajevo. As of 2015, more than 20.000 students have graduated from SEBS, it has about 160 full time employed staff (85 full time staff is engaged in teaching process) and is the most prominent educational institution in the field of economics and business in the country. It puts a significant emphasis on relations with the business world in order to confront both teachers and students with practical cases. Excellence-in-ReSTI will benefit of these relations which are established through: (1) managing and implementing various EU funded projects (2) Courses and projects organized by the Business Academy, (3) Consultancy projects for businesses and institutions carried out by the Institute, (4) Activities of the Business Advisory Board, (5) Senior projects – students are asked to prepare and present their senior projects in teams of 3-4 classmates (6) Guest Speakers from the business world are often invited to deliver lectures on both undergraduate and graduate subjects of study (7) Scientific research (8) Different master and PhD programs. SEBS currently implements the regionally highly relevant innovation project titled Platform for trans-Academic Cooperation in Innovation (PACINNO), where it is concerned with innovation on micro and macro level, and within which it has established a technology transfer office which aims to help transferring scientific results to practice, and which will be relevant for the current project too.
