The University of Jyväskylä (Finland)

JyU is one of the most productive universities in Finland

Acronym: JYU

The University of Jyväskylä is a multidisciplinary, dedicated scientific university, with an absolute drive for quality in all areas. The University of Jyväskylä coordinates the Finnish University Partnership for International Development (UniPID), a network of 10 Finnish universities cooperating in international projects, programmes and initiatives. UniPID promotes the exchange of knowledge between Finnish universities and universities in developing and transition countries by strengthening their partnerships in the fields of research and higher education and through linking Finnish universities to national, European, and global sustainable networks. Representing the UniPID network, JyU has served as a partner and Work Package leader in the FP7 projects CAAST-Net and ERAfrica. UniPID believes in the importance of strengthening and supporting bi-regional cooperation in STI and supporting bi-regional policy dialogue to create an environment that supports research cooperation between universities, researchers, and institutions.
