ZSI actively participated in two H2020 Infodays, also held RRI workshop for Brazilian stakeholders

In the framework of the INCOBRA project, which aims to enhance Research & Innovation (R&I) Cooperation Activities between Brazil (BR) and European Union (EU), ZSI has been actively involved in numerous Horizon 2020 promotional events in Belém and São Luis, Brazil.

ZSI was represented at these events by Senior Researcher Gorazd Weiss.

On 25th June, INCOBRA hosted a Horizon 2020 Infoday in the campus of the Federal University of Pará in Belém. At this event, Mr Weiss presented the benefits and opportunities of Horizon 2020 to Brazilian stakeholders, focusing on practical issues such as finding suitable project partners, and current open calls which are particularly relevant in Brazil.

INCOBRA was also present at the annual congress of the Association of Brazilian Research, Technology and Innovation Institutions (ABIPTI) which took place in São Luis on 27-29 June 2018. A second Horizon 2020 Info Day was held in the framework of this congress, where Mr Weiss also led a workshop on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), and participated in a panel discussion on the internationalization of science, technology and innovation (STI).

These events brought together researchers, policy makers, civil society, higher education and other stakeholders from across Brazil, and demonstrate the great interest for Horizon 2020 as well as for RTDI cooperation between Brazil and EU member states.
