Southeast Asia and EU fighting Climate Change together – 2nd SEA-EU-NET S&T Stakeholder Conference in Indonesia

SEA-EU-NET is pleased to announce its second stakeholder conference will take place on 11 and 12 November in the IPB International Convention Centre in Bogor, Indonesia.

The Stakeholder conference will bring together policymakers and researchers from Europe and South East Asia to further strengthen bi-regional science and technology co-operation.

SEA-EU-NET is now well into its 2nd year and is moving towards an analytical phase of the project. The Stakeholder Conference will disseminate information on project findings from 2009, work towards agreeing best practice for international collaborations, agree a SEA-EU-NET action plan and identify topics for scientific co-operation.

The conference will cover a broad range of topics highly relevant to bioregional co-operation and will include sessions on the following topics:

  • Supporting mechanisms for international co-operation (including NCP networks and scholarships)
  • Analytical input from recent SWOT workshop during ASEAN COST meeting, the mapping of research institutions in SEA and the result of OECD Innovation study
  • Workshop on ‘Solutions for Better SEA-EU Co-operation’ focusing upon identifying both short and long term policy recommendations
  • Thematic sessions on Food, Health and Energy
