16. Dec. 2014

Innovative measures in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy resources

On the 10 to 12th of December the kick-off activities of CEI-ener2i-MD took place in Chisinau. The ener2i Energy Innovation Workshop and Brokerage Event were an excellent occasion to present the project´s objective to a vast audience of Moldovan stakeholders active in the field of EE/RES. In this context the Innovation Voucher competition was officially presented, which will give the possibility to promising Moldovan SMEs, including start-ups and spin-offs, to compete for one of the 11 vouchers available - 4.000 € each – in the field of EE/RES. The selected proposals will have the chance to cooperate with researchers in Moldova, Austria or other EU Member States.
The CEI Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP) AUSTRIA, through funding from the Austrian Development Cooperation, has granted funds for additional and complementary activities to the ener2i project and international cooperation in Moldova in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy resources (EE/RES). The project, under the name "Innovation stimulation for Moldovan SMEs in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies – CEI-ener2i-MD" is leaded by the Centre for Social Innovation in the role of know-how provider. The project includes two important Moldovan stakeholders as recipients: the Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer, and the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development. The project will last one year - until November 2015. CEI-ener2i-MD will be complementary to the ener2i project and the effect of both projects will be reciprocally leveraged.
