Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (Argentina)

The Environment and Natural Resources Foundation (FARN) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, non-for-profit organization, created in 1985 and located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

FARN’s principle objective is to promote sustainable development through policy, law, and the institutional organization of society. The organization’s work includes research and analysis, publications and training, conferences and meetings, community legal advising and environmental litigation. Its primary beneficiaries are public, private and civil society decision-makers, as well as disadvantaged populations affected by environmental policy and decision-making. FARN has successfully implemented over 50 projects in the last 15 years on the rule of law, environmental policy and and public participation, pairing with multi-lateral institutions, private foundations, international, regional and local NGOs, communities and universities. According to the Global Think Tank Index Report 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018 developed by the University of Pennsylvania, FARN is one of the top 70 Global Environmental Think Tanks.
