Campaign for Learning (United Kingdom)

The Campaign for Learning is a small national not-for-profit organisation in the UK working to achieve social inclusion through learning for people of all ages and in all sectors. It was established by the Royal Society of Arts in 1997 and became an independent charity in 1998. Its area of specialism is supporting people to become involved or re-involved in learning, working both directly with learners and through developing training, support structures and networks for intermediaries.

The Campaign is responsible for co-ordinating the National Family Learning Festival, the largest learning festival in the UK, which involves over 300,000 people in bite-sized learning opportunities across England each October, and Learning at Work Week, which supports special learning and development activities in 6,000 workplaces in England and Scotland in May every year. The Campaign delivers its work in four main contexts - workplaces, schools, family and community learning and policy work. As a small organisation with only 15 core staff and 50 specialist part-time consultants, it does most of its work with partners, where it seeks to add value through its specialist expertise.

The Campaign works to the PQASSO Quality Standard for voluntary organisations and has recently been reaccredited as an Investor in People. It is an approved training provider for qualifications developed by the NCFE (Northern Council for Further Education) awarding body.
