The Call for the EULAKS Summer School in Mexico is now open

The Latin American Faculty for Social Sciences (FLACSO) in Mexico, together with the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) Austria, invite Latin American and European master and doctorate students in Social Sciences, as well as young researchers with a multidisciplinary focus and an orientation towards the study of the knowledge society, and journalists specialized on economic, industrial, and technological topics to participate in the Summer School on “the role of the Social Sciences in the construction of the knowledge based society: Latin American and European perspectives”.

The intention of the summer school is to open an opportunity to consolidate a space of reflexion and exchange between European and Latin American students and professors relative to focuses, tendencies and real opportunities for the design of policies in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI).

The summer course will be organized in working groups and seminars held by integrated researchers of the EULAKS project and supported by the participation of specialists with internationally acknowledged expertise. The course language is English.

An Academic Committee composed again by researchers of the EULAKS project is in charge of the evaluation of the submissions and the election of the participants of the Summer School whose costs for travel and accommodation will be covered (after an evaluation by the organizing committee) by the project.

Application are accepted from now on and require a CV, a motivation letter and a recommendation letter of all applicants.

Submission deadline is on May 25, 2009!
