HEALTH RTD CLUSTER (HRTD)
The overall objectives of the Cluster are: strengthening of the research and development capacities in the medicine and healthcare sector, as well as supporting the innovations and technological improvement of the regional economy and raising competitiveness of products and services on the local and foreign markets. In addition, the Cluster aims to establish international cooperation for more efficient integration in global science, economical, social and cultural exchange and involvement in the European Research Area, as well as links between the economy and science in the medicine, healthcare and similar sectors. It further improves the general conditions for the research and technological development in the medicine and health sciences, and monitors the technical and technological accomplishments in targeted sectors while harmonizing joint interests. Among its interests one can mention the improvement of the general conditions for the research and technological development in the medicine and health sciences and the monitoring of the technical and technological accomplishments in targeted sectors, with special priorities given to medical imaging, bio technologies, nano medicine and ICT for health. Members of the cluster are: Medicine Faculty of the University of Banja Luka; Medicine Faculty of the University of Istocno Sarajevo; Faculty of the natural sciences of the University of Banja Luka; Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of Banja Luka; Clinical Centre Banja Luka; General Hospital Prijedor; Agency for economic development “PREDA-PD” Prijedor; Euro project centre Banja Luka.
