Dr. Margit Hofer is a dedicated scientific associate at the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) in Vienna, where she is deeply involved in cutting-edge European initiatives spanning urban manufacturing, bioeconomy, digital data ecosystems and circularity. She is currently engaged in leading Horizon Europe projects such as LAUDS factories, Engage4BIO, and DataMite, focusing on open, community-driven innovation, bio-based value chains, and data monetization and interoperability academia.
Margit brings rich interdisciplinary expertise—ranging from digitalization and science policy, education to participatory social innovation. Her work uniquely blends rigorous research and hands-on engagement, positioning her as a key contributor to transdisciplinary collaborations and impactful social innovation projects across Europe.
