Dr. Margit Hofer is a dedicated scientific associate at the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) in Vienna, where she is deeply involved in cutting-edge European initiatives spanning urban manufacturing, digital data ecosystems, circularity, and human-centred artificial intelligence. She is currently engaged in leading Horizon Europe projects such as LAUDS Factories, EnduRAI, and DataMite, focusing on open and community-driven innovation, worker-centred AI for sustainable manufacturing, and data monetisation and interoperability.

Margit brings rich interdisciplinary expertise ranging from digitalisation and science policy to education and participatory social innovation. Her work uniquely combines rigorous research with hands-on stakeholder engagement, positioning her as a key contributor to transdisciplinary collaborations and impactful social innovation projects across Europe.
