Within ZSI projects, we encourage research by women, for women and about women. In all our projects gender awareness is an integrated part and ZSI promotes female researchers in key roles. Furthermore, ZSI is active in several projects directly centered around gender, ethics and Responsible Research and Innovation. Examples include PLOTINA (developing and implementing Gender Equality Plans at universities and other Research Performing Organizations), RRI Tools (providing a wide variety of tools, trainings and dissemination instruments to implement Responsible Research and Innovation) and many more (see below). We have experience to carry out research in innovative areas (such as a groundbreaking study on forced marriage in the city of Vienna or gender diversity in the 'maker community').
