The purpose of this paper was to provide, firstly, an overview on the uptake of different alternative European programmes and schemes in the so called CEEPUS region, and, secondly, to compare these programmes and schemes, which provide partly similar or complementary participation opportunities, with CEEPUS.
The study focused on the following programmes and schemes:
• CEEPUS
• ERASMUS +
• Horizon 2020
• Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)
• COST
