The project aims to contribute to a sustainable, evidence-based, needs-oriented and gender-responsive Higher Education and Research sector in Kosovo that is in line with principles of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the European Research Area (ERA) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Quality Education (SDG 4) and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9).
The project is funded by the Austrian Development Agency and implemented by a consortium including World University Service (WUS), Zentrum für Soziale Innovation (ZSI) and OeAD-GmbH (Agentur für Bildung und Internationalisierung).
ZSI is responsible for the following tasks:
- support to the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) for the development of policies, laws, regulations and strategies related to research and innovation
- support for the implementation of KRIS (Kosovan Research Information System)
- support for the implementation of the National Research Programme
- implementation of seed funding for development of Horizon Europe proposals
- support to Horizon Europe-NCPs in Kosovo
