EU-funded PATTERN project concludes with strong results in advancing Open and Responsible Research and Innovation training across Europe

June 2026. The Horizon Europe PATTERN project has successfully concluded after 42 months of work dedicated to strengthening Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (Open RRI) skills among researchers across Europe.

PATTERN (Piloting open and responsible Activities and Trainings Towards the Enhancement of Researchers Networks) brought together 14 partners and 5 affiliated entities from 13 European countries to develop, pilot and promote training activities supporting researchers at all stages of their careers.

The project aimed to reinforce the practice of Open RRI, improve science-society-education interactions within the European Research Area, empower Higher Education Institutions and Research Performing Organisations, and support the highest standards of ethics, integrity and societal engagement in research.
