ZSI coordinates and participates in numerous international and European research and innovation projects, often involving partners from several countries. Through these co-operations, ZSI contributes to the creation of networks and the exchange of knowledge and experience from different national and cultural contexts. We focus in particular on the integration of the enlargement countries in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe into the European Research Area. In co-operation with partners from Africa and Asia, we contribute to the coordination of common priorities, knowledge transfer, capacity development and the joint tackling of global challenges.
In addition, we conduct research on topics that are genuinely linked to R&I internationalisation, such as science diplomacy, responsible internationalisation, research security, researcher mobility, etc.
