Needs and ideas for vacant buildings are being collected with residents in Eberau (Burgenland).
On March 3, 2025, the first part of the RurALL Ideas workshop took place at the municipal office in Eberau.
Committed citizens, local decision-makers and experts gathered initial ideas for a number of vacant buildings in the village. Ideas included intergenerational living as well as relocating the department store or using them as co-working spaces.
However, we are still looking for more ideas – and people who would like to support their implementation.
The second part of the ideas workshop continues:
on June 14, 09:00 – 17:00, at the Eberau municipal office (catering will be provided).
There is no obligation to implement or finance the renovation ideas, but participation in the Ideas workshop and the future events offer:
1. The opportunity to actively shape the future of the community and develop new solutions for vacancies and migration (regardless of whether you own vacancies, live in Eberau, or simply have an interest in the community).
2. Exchange in the international committee and access to (international) expertise to create business and financing models, as well as designs and plans for the renovation ideas.
3A diverse and exciting day together with other interested parties.
