Work and research focus
Maddalena Lamura works as a researcher in the department of “Work & Equal Opportunities” at ZSI since October 2024. She is a social scientist with an ecological economics and social policy background. She researches the world of work and socio-ecological transformations, with a focus on eco-social policies, just transition and energy poverty. She employs mixed and participatory methods.

- working time reduction (OPTIME – Horizon Europe)
- migrant economy in Vienna (study for AMS Vienna)
- reuse of vacant buildings in rural areas (RurALL – Interreg Danube)
- evaluation of socially innovative projects for poverty reduction (Wirksam Wachsen)
- working conditions and mental health in platform work (PAG)
