SySI Net Care is a joint project between Austria and Slovakia (2025 –2028). Its goal is to make social care and social services future-proof and address the challenges of demographic change in the regions of Bratislava, Trnava, Burgenland, Lower Austria, and Vienna. The project connects stakeholders from both countries to develop innovative, practical, and scalable solutions for the care of dependent and vulnerable people. These solutions will be sustainably anchored in the participating regions.

- Comparative analysis of regional challenges and innovations in care
- Exchange of practical knowledge and promotion of peer learning
- Development of concrete recommendations for policymakers and civil society
- Building a transregional network for cooperation and synergies
- Strengthening social innovation and joint use of digital solutions in the care sector.The project builds on the findings of the previous project SEED-Hub.
SySI Net Care is funded by the INTERREG V-A Slovakia–Austria programme – a European Union cooperation programme and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) is consortium partner and 1) contributes to the analysis of the ecosystem, 2) co-develops pop-up-think tanks, 3) generates policy recommendations and, 4) works on the dissemination, outreach and citizen engagement at the intersection of citizen science, DIY, creativity and experiental learning in the context of creative aging.
