This study collects Austrian science diplomacy actors, networks and activities and places them in an international context. By doing so, it supports Austria in contributing to the development of solutions for global challenges. This is achieved by following these steps:
- Mapping – identification of actors and networks; systematic selection of actors and data collection
- Policy field analysis – modeling the status quo and current developments in Austria; desk research and semi-structured guided interviews
- Comparison with selected EU countries, as well as European and international initiatives
- Validation and recommendations to strengthen both top-down and bottom-up activities
- Project management and reporting
