ZSI welcomed the delegation of the Open University of China
Within the framework of the Reconnect China project the Open University of China (OUC) made a work visit at ZSI on 4 June 2024.
ZSI colleagues Stefanie Schürz, Philipp Brugner, Gábor Szüdi and Richard Anar had an engaging discussion on applied digitalisation, e-learning and data ethics in the context of various EU-funded projects with the Chinese delegation led by Fan Xianrui, Vice-president of OUC.
The parties took note of potential ways to further strengthen cooperation to enhance Europe’s understanding of China, promote dialogue between China and Europe in areas such as digital education, and jointly address various challenges, including those related to artificial intelligence. In this regard the ongoing work of Reconnect China was presented, such as the podcasts, infographics, policy briefs, MOOCs – and soon to come – school visits.
