The four-year journey of Reconnect China is soon coming to an end! While the project may be over with 31 October, our main project results are here to stay!
We’d like to draw your attention to the following main outcomes:
1. Policy briefs complemented with handy infographics
The project experts have delivered around 40 policy briefs in the core research areas of the project, i.e. Chinese domestic policy, Chinese foreign policy and China-EU relations in terms of economic, trade or scientific cooperation. The topics cover a wide range of current subjects, from Chinese narratives through research security to critical technology areas such as semiconductors or EVs.
It is worth to check out not only for policymakers but all scholars or students interested in China!
If you don’t have time to read through the whole text you can still check the infographic complementing each policy brief for the summary of the main content and policy recommendations!
Visit our website for the policy briefs & infographics or check them out on Zenodo! (where both documents can be easily downloaded from one place)
You’re invited to give your opinion on our policy briefs & infographics via this short online survey. All feedback is more than welcome!
2. Reconnect China database
The project offers a comprehensive database of Chinese documents and news articles from government websites, from the national level all the way down to the prefectural level. An invaluable resource for anyone interested in Chinese policymaking and its implementation across different levels of government.
Check out the database developed by the University of Vienna!
3. Massive Open Online Courses
Four open online courses on contemporary China, providing research-based knowledge on key aspects of Chinese politics, society, economy, culture and EU–China relations.
These courses aim to impart fundamental knowledge about China to a broad audience, specifically tailored to European students. However, civil servants, journalists, teachers and similar professionals can also find them valuable.
More details and the information on the registration procedure can be accessed through this MOOC page.
4. Reconnect China podcasts
The ReConnect China podcast channel brings you fresh insights on various aspects of EU-China relations, ranging from China’s engagement in various parts of the world through EU-China STI cooperation to an introduction to our database. In these podcasts, leading European experts on China discuss their recent ReConnect publications and the outcomes of ReConnect events.
Whether you prefer Spotify, Soundcloud or Apple Podcast, the podcasts can be easily streamed. Visit our website for all the podcast links.
