Project manager in evaluation / communication (contract)

This vacancy offers a limited contract (until December 2018) supporting the management of several projects and contracts for the European Commission (DG RTD) in international research and innovation cooperation, particularly in evaluation as well as strategic communication and international media campaigns. Additional tasks in a broad range of international projects can be offered, depending on the applicant’s interests and competencies.

Place of employment: Vienna (1150)
Extent: 30 hours per week
Vacancy duration: from the earliest possible date until December 2018 (extension possible)

Tasks

  • Management task packages in contracts and projects with international partners
  • Supporting tasks and process management
  • Coordination of the conduct of an international media and information campaign
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the campaign success
  • Compilation of project/management reports, presentations, etc.

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field (BA minimum).
  • Proven expertise in managing PR campaigns and media work as well as their monitoring (print, on-line and multi-media).
  • At least 3 years of project management experience, ideally in projects/contracts in EU context, particularly for DG RTD.
  • Of advantage: experience in conducting evaluations; extensive methodological skills, preferably quantitative methods.
  • Experience with content management systems, proficient use of MS-Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • German and English as working languages. Proficiency in English on C2 level with academic and journalistic writing skills. English as a mother tongue or additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Exactness, diligence, reliability, resilience and service-oriented efficiency.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Interest in international research cooperation.
