Job Offer: STI Policy Analysis and Consulting

We aim to strengthen the unit “Research Policy and Development” with an expert in the field of”STI Policy Analysis and Consulting / Analyse und Beratung in nationaler und internationaler Forschungs- und Technologiepolitik“.

Employer and place of employment: Zentrum für Soziale Innovation GmbH (Centre for Social Innovation Ltd), A-1150 Vienna, Linke Wienzeile 246
Start: most likely March 1, 2016 or April 1, 2016; contract is limited to 1 year at the beginning
Work time: minimum 30 hours/week
Minimum wage (gross): EUR 3,050.41 (EUR 2,287.81 for 30h/week) – 14 times a year. Actual wage is calculated based on previous experience according to the ZSI salary scheme.

Tasks:

  • Planing, coordination and implementation (incl. controlling) of projects in terms of content and organisation, with a focus on RTDI policy analysis and consulting
  • Lead of and contribution to evaluations (development and measurement of indicators, questionnaires, quantitative and qualitative methods)
  • Collaboration in international research, consulting and network projects
  • Writing of research reports, organisation of events
  • Communication with clients and presentation of projects internally and externally
  • Information and publication management, dissemination of project results
  • Project aquisition, implementation of international project applications

Profile:

  • University degree on master level (preferred social and economical sciences)
  • At least 5 years of relevant research oriented experience (experience in foreign countries is an advantage)
  • Advanced know-how in statistics, quantiative and qualitative social research
  • Know-how about EU programmes (FP7/Horizon 2020 most importantly)
  • Working languages: excellent English, good command of written and oral German
  • Professional appearance, ability to act in complex environments
  • Reliability, self-organisation, precision
  • Stress-bearing capacity, flexibility, commitment, availability to travel
