ZSI (www.zsi.at) is hiring a new staff member in the department Technology & Knowledge for an EU funded project in the area of Technical Enhanced Learning. Applicants for the position of a scientific associate should be ready to work at ZSI (Vienna, Austria) for presumably two years on the basis of a full time contract starting on 1st of September 2008.
The job comprises – in cooperation with the project manager – the following tasks:
Literature review about research topics such as marginalised youth, access to ICT, etc.
Organising, conducting and analysing interviews and focus groups by qualitative socio-scientific methods
Analysis of data
Elicitation of user requirements
Delivery of reports and scientific publications in English
Organisation and evaluation of test beds
Attendance of consortium meetings and relevant conferences
Cooperation with an international research team
Thus, we expect competence in:
Qualitative and quantitative research methods
Organisational skills
Experience in processing information for delivery of scientific reports
Perfect skills in written and spoken English
Knowledge about target group (marginalised youth) is favourable
ICT affinity (m-learning, e-learning, social software)
Experience in working in projects (from an administrative and scientific point of view)
Autonomy
Capacity for teamwork
Flexibility in time
Willingness to travel
