Description
Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) is a private non-profit research institute for applied social sciences and a Centre of Excellence for social innovation research based in Vienna (Austria). The advertised position is in the department of “Research Policy & Development”.
We are searching for a student collaborator/junior research assistant. You support our experienced staff with the implementation of projects on EU research and innovation (R&I) cooperation with countries in the EU Eastern Partnership region (https://www.eeas.europa.eu/eeas/eastern-partnership_en) and Central Asia. These projects are financed by the European Commission through the EU’s Horizon Europe programme for R&I.
This position will involve tasks such as:
- data and information collection on the R&I systems of these countries,
- first analysis of the collected material,
- preparing of reports, of material for workshops,
- support with disseminating information and reporting,
- support with organising visits of experts from these regions to EU member states, etc.
This position will require accuracy, reliability and tactful communication with international partners.
Expected experience
- Bachelor’s degree completed in social sciences, humanities, or a related field
- First experience in qualitative & quantitative social science research methods
- Interest in research & innovation policies, in particular in the EU’s Horizon Europe R&I programme
- Interest in Eastern Europe, Central Asia
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional languages are an asset
