Individual health and the health and social care systems are essential for a fair and livable society. However, these systems are facing enormous challenges due to an ageing population and a shortage of staff. We analyse medicine, health, care, ageing and demographic change in different contexts such as regional economic development, labour market and working conditions, education or social policy as well as evaluation, co-creation, citizen science, makerspaces and the like. Our health-related projects are inter- and transdisciplinary. We work with healthcare professionals, patients and patient organisations, policy makers at international, national and regional level and citizens to jointly develop innovative solutions that benefit society.
