The Western Balkan Region – in the broader sense South Eastern Europe – is an important European region for Austria not only commercially but also due to existing scientific collaboration and related issues. Both the historical and social relations, and the massive investments of Austrian companies, are deepening and intensifying co-operation in the field of science and research.

The Westbalkan Science Day concentrates on three thematic domains: Social Sciences, Economics and Business Administration as well as Information Society Technologies (IST) and consists of two parts:

MORNING SESSION
In the “Morning Session” Information will be delivered concerning current and future funding possibilities, i.e.

· Cooperation in Innovation and Research with Central and Eastern Europe (CIR-CE)
· TEMPUS
