mature@eu
The pilot project mature@eu - Supporting Employers In Recruiting And Selecting Mature Aged Persons responds to the low level of labour market participation of elderly employees in most of the European member states in general and to the existing structural barriers to be found in enterprises recruitment policies in particular. Elder employees are discriminated against through ageist stereotypes and practices when it comes to the selection and recruitment of new employees. Applicants are being excluded from the recruitment process because they are considered being too old to do a certain job.
Thus, mature@eu is directly concerned with providing an integrated support package to Business Leaders, Equal Opportunities Representatives, HRM, Trade Union Officers and Worker Representatives based on online-accessible materials. mature@eu focuses on the ICT sector which its significant youth oriented culture and image. The e-learning platform is available in 16 languages and free for any interested organisation (eg. VET institute, employment service...)
mature@eu has won the 'Keeping on Track' Best Practice Award and has been selected as a good practice example for its valorisation strategy.
