ISF-NCP 2

ISF Supporting Horizon 2020 National Contact Points in EU Partner Countries - phase 2

The goal is to integrate National Contact Points (NCPs) from EU Partner Countries into the activities and events available to their counterparts in EU MS/AC to Horizon 2020

The Service Facility in Support of the Strategic Development of International Cooperation in Research and Innovation is set up under the provisions of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2016-2017, 'Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies', Other actions –II Public Procurement.

The overall objective is to integrate National Contact Points (NCPs) from EU Partner Countries and regions into the activities and events available to their counterparts in EU Member States and Associated Countries (MS/AC) to Horizon 2020, building to the maximum extent possible on the results and recommendations of the first phase of NCP support actions.

Contrary to the NCPs in MS/AC, NCPs in Partner Countries lack contact with European NCP network projects and the access to information provided by the EU Commission. Taking this into account the objective of this service contract in a second phase is:

  • to identify major International Cooperation (INCO) flagship events according to the Commission's priorities and organise NCP support activities back to back,
  • link NCP network projects in MS/AC with NCPs in Partner Countries to improve collaboration between them,
  • review the current NCP system in EU Partner Countries and prepare the process for Horizon Europe.

The final analysis will comprise the whole NCP support initiative and feed recommendations as well as a clear support plan, providing conclusions from the territorial, as well as from the thematic perspective, focusing on the future NCP work in the EU Partner Countries under Horizon Europe.

ZSI is part of the group of core-tenderers led by the Project Management Agency of the German Aerospace Center (DLR PT).
