ZSI and SFS as central nodes of social innovation research
1. Jan. 2023
In his review of the Book "Zukunft gestalten mit Sozialen Innovationen" (edited by Jürgen Howaldt, Miriam Kreibich, Jürgen Streicher and Carolin Thiem), Herbert Schubert (Professor of Organisational Sociology and Social Management at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at Cologne University of Applied Sciences) highlighted the longterm cooperation between the ZSI and SFS (p. 2) as follows:
"Their cooperation is based, among other things, on the international cooperation between the Vienna Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) and the Social Research Centre of the TU Dortmund University. The joint "Vienna Declaration" of 2011 focuses on the conceptualisation and implementation of social innovations in policy fields such as education, employment, environment and climate, energy, mobility, health and social affairs, poverty and sustainable development. This approach forms the foundation of the publication. The ZSI and the Dormund Social Research Centre act as central nodes in the scientific network, which has expanded further in the past decade" (p. 2).
We are grateful for this recognition and see it as a mandate to continue pushing the agenda of social innovation research!
