What are careables?

we will be preseting careables during the upcoming Communities and Technologies 2019 Conference, which is taking place in Vienna, 3.-7. June 2019.
The event aims to stimulate scholarly debate and disseminate research on the complex connections between communities – in their multiple forms – and information and communication technologies. It offers, however, also a place to showcase examples of how non-academic actors (individuals and organizations) are working with technologies to effect community relations.
Careables applied to this community track and has been accepted. We will thus showcase some of our careables and the stories leading to these DIY healthcare solutions. If you want to know more about careables, join the session on Wednesday, 5th of June 2019, at 16:00.
