The Interreg - Danube Transnational Project “Facilitating macro-regional scope and link up to socio-economic actors of Research Infrastructure in the Danube Region” (ResInfra@DR) runs between the beginning of the year 2017 and the end of June 2019 and involves 14 partners from the Danube Region. Project mission is to improve framework conditions for research infrastructure and innovation in the Danube region. Therefore, ResInfra@DR facilitates enhanced transnational cooperation and a macro-regional scope of the sustainable development of research infrastructures.

Currently ResInfra@DR is preparing actions to capitalize on its achievements by creating synergies within and beyond the project. As a part of these efforts, ResInfra@DR is updating the Capitalization Strategy of the Danube Transnational Programme's Thematic Pole 2 (RDI Framework Support) which currently includes two other projects, "Embeddedness of high quality research infrastructures in the Danube Region" (RI2Integrate) and "Danube Framework for Responsible Research and Innovation using Socio-Technical Integration" (D-STIR). Further, synergies between the DTP's Thematic Pole 2 and the EU Danube Region Strategy's Priority Area 7 (Knowledge Society) are explored.
