COST BESTPRAC offers funding for short term missions for research administrators

10. May. 2016

Deadline for the next call for Short term scientific missions (STSM) is 1st June 2016.

Apart from individually organised STSMs, there is a specific 'Group STSM' which has been generously arranged and coordinated by three universities in Flanders: VUB (Free University Brussels); Ghent University; and KU Leuven. This Group STSM  will take place on October 3-6, 2016. A maximum of 5 STSM visitors will be hosted. Applications are now invited from eligible candidates.

Applicants who are early stage administrators, representing the target group of BESTPRAC and coming from so-called inclusiveness countries are particularly encouraged to submit a STSM application at this time.

Separately, if individuals are interested in visiting another institution in another participating COST country or an approved IPC institution, they can apply for an individual STSM in the usual manner.

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) are aimed at supporting individual mobility and at strengthening the existing networks and fostering collaborations by allowing scientists to visit an institution in another participating COST Country or an approved NNC institution or an approved IPC institution. A STSM should specifically contribute to the objectives of the COST Targeted Network.

Detailed information on the aims of STSMs and application procedure is available at http://www.bestprac.eu/exchange-training/short-term-scientific-mission-stsm/
