EU Brokerage Event in Brussels and Country Reports on the Energy Sectors of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, and Moldova

On 2 December 2014 the second ener2i EU brokerage event to foster networking and knowledge exchange between transnational and local stakeholders and to support the development of joint projects and co-operative activities took place in Brussels. The event targeted a wide range of companies, universities and researchers from Europe, EaP countries as well as countries associated to the Horizon 2020 programme. The event made it able to foster the creation of consortia for the upcoming Horizon 2020 calls on the three focus areas bioresources, smart cities and regions, and education and training programmes. The ener2i project consortium has published four country reports on the energy sectors of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, and Moldova as well as a pre-final version of a comparative cross-country report. The reports focus on the potential in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources and provide an overview on available technologies and technology providers, opportunities, and barriers, and address relevant policies and energy strategies. This analysis serves as a basis for the formulation of policy recommendations and the definition of a joint roadmap at a later stage of the ener2i project. Find out more...
