Call for short term missions of science administrators

16. Dec. 2014

COST Action BESTPRAC offers grants

BESTPRAC is a network for the administrative, finance and legal services in universities, research organizations and related entities supporting researchers involved in the lifecycle of transnational external competition based (in particular European funded) projects in order to exchange experiences and share and develop best practices, encourage knowledge sharing, knowledge transfer and increased efficiency.

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) are aimed at supporting individual mobility and at strengthening the existing networks and fostering collaborations by allowing scientists to visit an institution in another participating COST Country or an approved NNC institution or an approved IPC institution.
A STSM should specifically contribute to the objectives of the COST Targeted Network. Applicants who are early stage administrators, representing the target group of BESTPRAC and coming from so-called inclusiveness countries are particularly encouraged to submit a STSM application. All other participants of BESTPRAC interested in a STSM are, of course, also very welcome to submit a STSM application.
Detailed information on the aims of STSMs and application procedure is available at http://www.bestprac.eu/exchange-training/short-term-scientific-mission-stsm/
ZSI is part of the Management Committee of BESTPRAC (Ms. Elke Dall) and one of the ZSI colleagues already carried out an STSM to Bonn in 2014 (Ms. Katharina Büsel).
Overall, 12 BESTPRAC STSM stays have been completed in 2014. Calls in 2015 will have deadlines on February 1, April 1, June 1, and August 1.
