16. Oct. 2014

Review on the event in Triest in September 2014

Hosted by the Italian Presidency represented by the Italian Minister for Education, University and Research, Stefania Giannini, the Steering Platform met in Trieste (Italy) on 24th September and confirmed itself as an important information clearing house on research and innovation issues in the region. Following up its long standing support to the Steering Platform for Western Balkan Countries in the frame of the WBC-INCO.NET project (which ended in April 2014), the Centre for Social Innovation supported the event logistically and also distributed the final publication of the aforementioned project to the platform members.
Among other issues, major points on the agenda included Spreading Excellence and Widening participation in Horizon 2020, Research Infrastructures in Horizon 2020, JRC Support to Enlargement and the participants also received an introduction to the Danube-INCO.NET project, which is coordinated by the Centre for Social Innovation.
