News on Research and Innovation in the Danube Region

Danube-INCO.NET project is an FP7 funded coordination and support action for the official EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) in the field of research and innovation (R&I). The Danube-INCO.NET project is coordinated by the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) and comprises 19 different project partners - from Germany over Bosnia and Herzegovina to Moldova and from private companies over research institutions to ministries and universities.

The Danube-INCO.NET web portal, the official platform for the Danube-INCO.NET project, was officially launched on May 17. It serves as the main news and information provider for all project related topics both for the project partners and the public audience.

This plattform mainly builds up on the succesful predecessor project WBC-INCO.NET, which was also coordinated by the ZSI - Centre for Social Innovation and which ended at April 30th, 2014. The Danube-INCO.NET databases on News, Calls for Funding Opportunities, Calls for Papers, Jobs and Applications, Events, Projects, Organisations, Documents and the Glossary are for the most part filled with entries from the respective databases on the WBC-INCO.NET platform.

During the project run-time the web portal offers the following features:

1) General information about the Danube-INCO.NET project and all project partners
2) Specific information about the four main pillars of the project
3) Updated information about all project results and deliverables within the Danube-INCO.NET project
4) Collection and Dissemination of news about the project, project related topics and the Danube Region in general
5) Buildup of single databases on news, events, calls for papers/jobs/applications, calls for funding, events, projects, organisations and documents
6) "Submit your own input-function" for any visitor to contribute to the platform
7) Interactive map for visual presentation of project partners and the Danube-INCO.NET network
8) Connection to the social media activities of the project on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
