Kick off DANCERS in Bucharest, June 11-12, 2013

New project started successfully.

DANCERS focuses on the the capacity building and Excellence in River Systems research and management (basin, delta and sea). The kick off meeting took place in the mid of June 2013 in Bucharest. The DANube macroregion: Capacity building and Excellence in River Systems (basin, delta and sea) is a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) in the field of environment and eco-system related research coordination and funded through FP7.

Main focus is put on water and water-land interrelation research like hydrology, flood modelling, impact of human interventions along the danube, deposit dynamics and other fields in view of existing research capacities, future synergies and the future research agenda in the concerned domains.

The overall objective of the project is the future mobilization of all actors and resources from public and private sources for higher investment in research and innovation towards an efficient river-delta-sea management in the Danube/Danube Delta/Black Sea Region.
