Outline

In line with the Horizon 2020 initiative BILAT USA 4.0 (www.euussciencetechnology.eu), the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) supports the workshop titled "Fundamentals of U.S. Sponsored Project Administration" which will be organised in Vienna, Austria, on September 18-19, 2017, by NCURA (U.S. National Council of University Research Administrators) and the TU Wien.

ZSI is a partner in the BILAT USA 4.0 project - here you can find the project in our list of projects.

Agenda

The goal of this workshop is to increase knowledge and understanding of European researchers as well as international research administrators about the US federal grants that are open for Europeans and beyond. 

Hosted by the Vienna University of Technology the workshop will cover the following topics:

- U.S. research funding opportunities for non-U.S. organizations
- Applying for and managing U.S. federal research grants and
- Sharing best practices in global research management and administration. 

Presenters of the workshop are from the NCURA Global Faculty:

- Leslie Schmidt: Assistant Vice President for Research at Montana State University, U.S.
- Eva Björndal: Head of Unit, Post-Contract Office at Karolinska Institutet, SE

This workshop is specifically geared for international research managers and administrators (pre- and post-award) with a basic or intermediate level of experiences with U.S. grants who want to achieve the next level of excellence.

- Basic and intermediate level of experiences with U.S. grants application & administration
