11th Steering Platform on Research for Western Balkan Countries

Back-to-back with the Executive Steering Board meeting of the WBC-INCO.NET project and its General Assembly, the Steering Platform meeting has been held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The series of meetings lasted from 29.11. till 2.12.
The Platform meeting was co-chaired by the Polish EU Council presidency, the European Commission DG Research and Innovation and Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the Western Balkan countries. Apart from exchange of information, it was a great occasion to discuss in particular the EC proposal for Horizon 2020 - on the day after its presentation in Brussels.
All Western Balkan countries are associated to FP7 and therefore the developments towards Horizon 2020 and the synergies with the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA II - 2014-2020) are of high importance. The countries are commited to work towards the integration in the European Research Area and Innovation Union.
