From 29 June to 1 July 2005 the Know-Center, Austria’s Competence Centre for Knowledge Management, will host the I-KNOW conference
the fifth International Conference on Knowledge Management.


The Conference opens with the ProLearn Workshop on Wednesday, 29 June 2005

Success in business is increasingly dependant on companies& ability to flexibly adapt to changing needs in a dynamic market. In order to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the acquisition of new skills and competencies, technology enhanced learning is expected to play an important role in professional learning and training.


The ProLearn Workshop provides an overview over recent advances and developments in research and practice.
I-KNOW, the premiere European conference series in the field, serves as a multi-disciplinary forum for discussion and exchange of information on the research, development and applications on all topics related to knowledge management,
The I-KNOW program consists of more than 70 carefully selected scientific presentations, a special Industry track with about 25 presentations and several workshops on semantic web technologies and eLearning. In addition, five high-level keynote speakers will open the I-KNOW conference and provide final reflections on the event.
As the privious conferences in 2003 and 2004 have shown, more than 350 attendees from industry and science can be expected.
