Education, Research, and Innovation in Ukraine in Time of Martial Law

networking seminar organised by ETAG and HARNO on July 11 in Brussels

The Estonian Research Council (ETAG) and the Education and Youth Board of the Republic of Estonia (HARNO) organised a networking seminar titled "Education, Research, and Innovation in Ukraine in Time of Martial Law" on Tuesday, July 11 in Brussels.

The seminar provided a platform to introduce European networks and support mechanisms dedicated to Ukraine followed by a comprehensive overview of higher education and research & innovation in Ukraine. The Ukrainian delegation highlighted the current state of the situation, ongoing recovery efforts, and future prospects. The event gathered participants from Ukraine, Estonia, European Commission representatives, IGLO Brussels, COST and experts from EU Member States. Gorazd Weiss attended the event on behalf of ZSI. 

ZSI has a longstanding cooperation with Ukrainian institutions, including the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and universities through several projects such as: BIONANOSENS, RI-LINKS2UA, BILAT UKR*AINA, PSF Peer Review of the Ukrainian Research and Innovation System, NEUROTWIN, INCONET EAP, etc.
