Maria Schrammel holds an academic background in Social and Cultural Anthropology and has further specialized in Social Ecology. Since 2014, she has been working as a senior researcher and project manager at the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI). In this role, she has successfully coordinated and implemented numerous European research and innovation projects (FP7, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe), with a focus on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), the bioeconomy, and science communication.
She brings in-depth methodological expertise in co-creation, design thinking, and participatory, process-oriented formats. Her core competencies include the design, facilitation, and implementation of multi-stakeholder workshops, dialogue processes, and transdisciplinary training formats at both national and international levels. Her work is dedicated to effectively shaping and supporting transformative processes at the intersection of science, society, policy, and industry.
In addition, Maria Schrammel lectures at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna and is a certified business coach, supporting professionals and executives in their career development. Her profile combines scientific excellence with hands-on experience in innovation processes and the strategic facilitation of change initiatives.
