Support to the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine

This service supports the activities of the secretariat of the ‘International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine’. The Coalition aims to address the need for urgent and long-term recovery of the Ukraine’s R&I sector by promoting concrete actions for its reconstruction, modernisation, and integration into global and EU R&I ecosystems, supporting Ukrainian scientists within Ukraine and in the diaspora, advocating for the central role of R&I in Ukraine’s recovery, and building an international consensus on the sector’s evolving challenges and needs. To pursue this mission, the Coalition coordinates efforts to support Ukraine’s R&I sector and contributes to the definition of a shared agenda for international cooperation. It also facilitates a structured and continued dialogue between the Government of Ukraine and international partners, ensuring that global support is aligned with Ukrainian national priorities.

The project’s key tasks consist of conceptual, organisational, logistical and communication services to organise high-level steering committee meetings of the Coalition as well as technical level meetings. The support includes conceptual work and agenda design, invitation and participant management as well as meeting logistics. All tasks are accompanied by professional communications activities, such as content development for the Coalition’s website, digital newsletters to the members of the Coalition or reports. Close collaboration with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and UNESCO – the entities that currently form the secretariat of the Coalition – are ensured to achieve high-quality outcomes.
