Mobilizing Austrian Vocational Training Know-How in Africa
This commissioned sector evaluation and feasibility study (until December 2022, first phase, second phase - pending prior approval- mid/end-2023) for the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) analyses the possible scope, needs and conditions for a future vocational training partnership programme between Austrian secondary education institutions and 4-5 African partner countries (Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Ghana) in the fields of digital technology and green transition.
In close collaboration with ADA and the Austrian Ministry for Science and Education, the first phase includes a Austrian-wide survey to assess interests, capacities and obstacles among the secondary level of educational institutions. The second phase, in close collaboration with local partners and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, targets corresponding partners in selected African countries and regions, in accordance with Austrian cooperation objectives and regional labour opportunities.
